Mission in Pianosa, Italy, October 2006 The underwater archaeological site of Pianosa, discovered in 1989 by volunteer divers (Giuseppe Adriani, Paolo Vaccari), is located at a depth of 35 m, close to the Scoglio della Scola, in front of the east coast of the island. The site is characterized by the presence of about one hundred amphorae
Mission in Sesimbra, Portugal, October 2007 The second at-sea experiment of the VENUS project was carried out in the bay of Sesimbra, south of Lisbon, Portugal, between 15th and 27th October 2007. In the sequence of the results acquired in Pianosa Island experiment (September 2006), this second mission's goal was to test automatic acquisition systems of photogrammetric data at more than 50 m depth.
Mission in Marseille, France, October 2008 The roman wreck Port-Miou C The third mission will be located in Marseille and will be managed by DRASSM/MCC with all partners involved in underwater data acquisition.
